On February 27, 2018, CfA filed three Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. State Department, and the United States Agency for International Development regarding the Trump Administrations efforts to rollback access to family planning services.

On February 20, 2018, CfA called on Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes to open an investigation into Utah State Representative Michael Noel (R-Kanab) for failing to disclose conflicts of interest, making false or deceptive statements, misusing public money, and violating anti-nepotism rules.

"Last November, Watchdog group Campaign for Accountability filed a legal complaint against the Attleboro Women's Health Center for posting deceptive information on their website - after women reported being misled when seeking an abortion. The center took down the information shortly after the complaint was filed with Attorney General Maura Healy's Office."
"An ethics group submitted a letter to the Department of Justice on Tuesday requesting that it launch an investigation of Heath Hall, the former deputy administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration who resigned over the weekend after allegations were raised about 'outside work' he took on while employed as a senior federal official."
On February 13, 2018, CfA asked the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice to investigate whether Heath Hall, former Acting Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration, violated federal criminal law by willfully filing a public financial disclosure report in which he falsely claimed he would not be receiving outside income.
"Daniel Stevens, executive director of the Campaign for Accountability, an ethics group, said last week that Hall lacked any experience 'for the critical job of overseeing America’s rail network' and also appears to have been 'holding down a second job as a Mississippi public relations consultant in violation of federal law.'"
"Rooney told CNN the Office of Congressional Ethics has sent letters to all of the Republican committee staff of the House Intelligence Committee related to leaks. A liberal advocacy group Campaign for Accountability filed a complaint with OCE against Nunes and his staff, accusing them of leaking information related to Fusion GPS. It's not clear if the letters are tied to that complaint or if it will turn into a formal investigation, and OCE will not comment publicly on its investigations."
