Today, Campaign for Accountability requested the IRS and the Texas Attorney General’s office investigate whether key employees and directors of Texas-based nonprofit True the Vote, Inc. improperly diverted funds from the conspiratorial vote-monitoring group.

This week, Campaign for Accountability filed an IRS complaint against seven tax-exempt organizations linked to Leonard Leo that appear to have funneled large amounts of money to the lawyer via multiple payments to his for-profit businesses.

Last week, Campaign for Accountability sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs urging it to investigate whether Kellyanne Conway committed a federal crime during the selection of Supreme Court appointees by benefiting from a financial arrangement with conservative legal activist Leonard Leo.

Newly released FBI documents say that U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo’s campaign told the FBI that the senator “was aware of and approved” the investment of a quarter-million dollars of his campaign donors’ funds into a risky get-rich-quick scheme “at the time of the transaction” in 2008, in which the money disappeared.

"An ethics group submitted a letter to the Department of Justice on Tuesday requesting that it launch an investigation of Heath Hall, the former deputy administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration who resigned over the weekend after allegations were raised about 'outside work' he took on while employed as a senior federal official."

On February 13, 2018, CfA asked the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice to investigate whether Heath Hall, former Acting Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration, violated federal criminal law by willfully filing a public financial disclosure report in which he falsely claimed he would not be receiving outside income.

A watchdog group, the Campaign for Accountability, was among those who asked Interior's IG to investigate. The group said Zinke's Vegas speech "seems to be a special favor provided to a major political supporter of both Sec. Zinke and the president at taxpayer expense."
