Tech Transparency Project (TTP), sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requesting that the agency investigate PrivacyWall and its chief executive, Jonathan Wu, for perpetrating a number of scams on consumers.
The letter details the ways RA has failed to fulfill its duty to Pennsylvania families to provide adequate pregnancy and parenting services, while simultaneously inappropriately skimming money intended for service providers, and misappropriating public funding earmarked for certain operational expenses.
Today, Campaign for Accountability (CfA), a nonprofit watchdog group that runs the Tech Transparency Project (TTP), revealed that former Google CEO Eric Schmidt apparently for years has hosted an annual conference that brings together policy analysts, entertainers, executives, and other influential individuals at the private Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.
Google’s parent company, Alphabet, uses a sprawling fleet of private aircraft to traverse the globe, despite the company’s public pledges to fight climate change.
“Today the Supreme Court appropriately applied its prior precedent guaranteeing the right to access abortion care,” said Alice Huling, Counsel at Campaign for Accountability.
TTP found that search terms like “register to vote,” “vote by mail,” and “where is my polling place” generated ads linking to websites that charge bogus fees for voter registration, harvest user data, or plant unwanted software on people’s browsers.
CfA’s requests for investigation detail how FIRM failed to initiate litigation, as required by its $400,000 state contracts, and underreported the amount of money it received.
The Daily Caller, a for-profit news publication founded by Tucker Carlson, and its related 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Daily Caller News Foundation, appear to be violating nonprofit tax laws by, among other things, routing money and expenses through the nonprofit and engaging in political activities.
TTP’s investigation found dozens of examples in which Google served questionable ads on such searches from websites that seek to harvest people’s personal and financial data, charge bogus fees, or plant unwanted software into their browsers.
On May 7, 2020, CfA sent a complaint to Speaker of the Montana House of Representatives, Greg Hertz, urging him to refer the matter to the House ethics committee.
