Campaign for Accountability Statement on Special Counsel Complaint Against HUD Administrator Lynne Patton

Today, Campaign for Accountability released a statement in reaction to a newly obtained disciplinary complaint filed by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) against former Housing and Urban Development Region II Administrator Lynne Patton for Hatch Act violations for abusing her official office and title for political purposes. OSC informed CfA that its complaint was a direct result of our complaint filed September 21.

Today, Campaign for Accountability filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against Representative Lauren Boebert and her campaign for using campaign funds to reimburse herself over $21,000, allegedly for mileage. Boebert’s campaign also failed to maintain required records of her expenses.

Today, Campaign for Accountability filed a complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee requesting an investigation into whether Senators Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz knowingly spread 2020 presidential election misinformation motivating the rioters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Today, Campaign for Accountability filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics requesting an investigation into whether Representative Morris “Mo” Brooks (R-AL) violated federal law and House rules by inciting a riot as part of a seditious conspiracy to use force to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutional and statutory duties to count the votes of the Electoral College.
