On Tuesday, July 18, Campaign for Accountability, represented by the Knight First Amendment Institute, will argue in the United States District Court in Washington D.C. that the Department of Justice must disclose its final written legal opinions that bind federal agencies.
On January 18, 2017, CfA asked Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation into companies that offer residential solar panels in Florida. A review of consumer complaints filed with the Florida Attorney General’s Office reveals many of these companies have engaged in false and misleading acts in the marketing and sale or lease of solar panels, in apparent violation of Florida law.
On November 21, 2016, CfA filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the FBI and Department of Justice seeking any criminal records regarding President-elect Donald J. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
