Watchdog Lauds News Organizations’ Backing of Petition to Unseal John Sarcone Disciplinary Proceedings

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, a group of news organizations including The Associated Press, Dow Jones & Company, Inc., USA TODAY Co., Inc., Hearst Corporation, The New York News Publishers Association, The New York Times Company, and Pro Publica, Inc, filed an amicus brief in support of Campaign for Accountability’s (CfA) petition to unseal the disciplinary proceedings involving John A. Sarcone III, the First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York.
CfA executive director Michelle Kuppersmith said:
