Watchdog group wants FBI to release info about Sen. Crapo’s 2008 bad campaign loan
A Washington, D.C., watchdog group on Thursday filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FBI to get records from an investigation of a $250,000 bad loan that Idaho Sen. Mike Crapo’s campaign made in 2008.
“Sen. Crapo’s campaign committee made a bad loan with other people’s money, and no one was held accountable. Sen. Crapo’s donors deserve to know what happened to their contributions,” said Campaign for Accountability Executive Director Daniel Stevens. “The FBI should publicly release the records from its investigation of Sen. Crapo’s campaign committee.”
