Pedophiles are using Instagram to solicit child sexual abuse material from the parents of child influencers. Instead of banning parent-run accounts for the risks they pose, Meta has opted to prioritize content creation over safety.
Earlier this month, a court commissioner found that fmr. U.S. Attorney General William Barr “demonstrated a dishonesty of purpose and motive” when he helped Rupert Murdoch with a scheme to modify his family trust.
Today, CfA is asking the D.C. Bar to investigate Barr's conduct.

ICYMI: CfA asked the department of Health and Human Services if a Louisiana-based non-medical crisis pregnancy center (CPC) was obligated to protect women's privacy under HIPAA. HHS said "no," and their response may have implications for similarly-structured CPCs across the US.
Last month, HHS confirmed that a Louisiana crisis pregnancy center, which claimed its clients have rights under HIPAA, is under no obligation to follow the federal privacy law.
Now, CfA is alerting five other state AGs to what this development might mean for their own states.
“There is an understanding that seeing these ads on social media is correlated to a decreased risk perception, and young people are led to think the drugs are safer,” @FullerAshly tells @matthabusby.
