Watchdog Files Ethics Complaint Against House Speaker Tim Moore for Abusing His Position for Personal Financial Gain

On March 5, 2018, CfA called on the North Carolina State Ethics Commission to investigate whether Tim Moore, Speaker of the North Carolina General Assembly, violated state ethics law by pressuring officials at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality to delay enforcing environmental laws on his company's property.

Campaign for Accountability Files Second Ethics Complaint Against House Intel Chair Nunes for Leaking Confidential Information

On March 1, 2018, CfA renewed its request to the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate whether Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and/or staff of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, acting at his direction violated House ethics rules by leaking confidential information, following a report in the New York Times that the committee leaked text messages between Senator Mark Warner and a Washington lawyer.
