On February 13, 2017, CfA filed a lawsuit alleging Montana State Senator Jennifer Fielder and the Montana Legislative Services Division have violated the Montana Constitution by failing to produce documents related to the senator’s work with the Utah-based nonprofit, the American Lands Council.
On January 18, 2017, CfA asked Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation into companies that offer residential solar panels in Florida. A review of consumer complaints filed with the Florida Attorney General’s Office reveals many of these companies have engaged in false and misleading acts in the marketing and sale or lease of solar panels, in apparent violation of Florida law.
On October 31, 2016, following FBI Director Jim Comey’s unprecedented decision to inform Congress that the FBI was re-opening the investigation into former State Department Secretary and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, CfA filed a complaint with the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
